My hand isn’t broken. It isn’t even sprained. I think maybe I just pulled a tendon when the door tried to fold my hand over on itself. I had no trouble at all last night doing the downward dog or any other yoga poses that put weight on my hand or pull on a strap, although I was careful to test it at first, very gingerly. Today my hand feels all but normal, except for once or twice when I put too much stress on it by bending it too far or gripping too tightly. (“Doctor, it hurts when I do this.” “Did I see you yesterday?”)
