License plate seen on the way to work this morning: NTDEDYT.
Enty deed white? Ent duh dye tee? I couldn’t figure it out. Fortunately for me (or, depending on the situation, unfortunately) I tend to think out loud, so My Darling B heard my phonological struggles and lent me a helping hand:
“Not dead yet.”
Okay, that works. But what’s that supposed to mean? Is the driver just being flip? I mean, we’re all feeling like survivors of blunt trauma, more or less, after the brutal winter we’ve just been through. Or is he being more serious than that, in remission for cancer, perhaps? Or was it no more than a random phrase that popped into his head when he applied for the plate? Hmmm.
