I love Sunday mornings. The cats are curled up in their beds. My Darling B is sorting through her herbs and spices, trying to decide how she will magically combine them to create a delicious dinner. And I am in the basement huffing paint fumes.
Minwax stain sealer, actually. I’m putting up a couple of book cases in the spare room and they needed to be finished before I could nail them to the wall and fill them up with books. I was going to paint them until My Darling B made the remark that she liked the color of the natural wood, so I bought a can of sealer instead, took the shelves out and toted them down to the basement work shop to give them a couple coats of sealer. The book case was too big to move, so I brushed some sealer on it where it stood in the corner of the spare room.
The instructions on the back of the can warn that you should use it only with adequate ventilation, but as I’ve already damaged my brain pretty badly over the years, I’m not to worried about a little more.
