The day began like any other: With the sound of a cat at the end of the bed going HLK! HLK! HLK! as she tried to hack up a hairball at four o’clock in the morning. My Darling B will sleep through a lot of very loud noises, but she wakes up almost instantly when she hears that. Not only will she wake up instantaneously, but she’s also able to sweep both cats off the bed with her leg before she’s fully awake. Boo landed almost four feet from the spot where she had been sleeping all night. It was quite impressive.
