I took my bike to Fayette and it’s a good thing I did because I did so much hiking the first two days that on the third morning I was so badly hobbled by blisters that I couldn’t enjoy walking around the park much. On the plus side — always trying to see the plus Read.

It’s a long drive from Our Little Red House to Kansas City. Arrived about six, took long long showers, went out for a late dinner, turned in late (for us — about ten). Slept in, woke to a beautifully sunny morning. Freshened up, had a leisurely breakfast while we made plans for a day of Read.
