For this morning’s walk, I didn’t want to travel very far from the Madison area because the weather was yuck, but I did want to do more than stretch my legs. I wanted to hike at least five miles, and the one place I could easily hike that far which was only a short drive Read.

This morning’s hike through the UW-Madison arboretum was much more enjoyable than I thought it might be. We’ve had warm weather for the past three or four days and we got a little rain last night, so I expected the trails to be nothing but muck all the way around. I was happy to discover Read.

Neighborhood Hike
What with waiting for the delivery guys to bring our new washer and dryer, and then getting everything squared away in the basement so we could use our new washer and dryer, there wasn’t enough time left over on Saturday or Sunday to drive across the county for a long hike on the Ice Age Read.
