It took a little while but I believe I can finally call the Verona segment done. I’ve started this hike from the north end, I’ve started from the south end, but both times I never went far enough to get all the way across. Today I filled in that short gap I left in the middle of the segment. The weather wasn’t great; dreary and cold but the wind was light. I walked the main trail as far as the IAT junction area, then jogged to the east to connect with a bike trail to loop back to my car. 3.0 miles out and back in 1 hour 7 minutes.
