California voters approved Proposition 50, a measure to gerrymander the state in response to the Texas gerrymander
Colorado voters approved a ballot measure that would raise state income taxes on higher-earning households to fund free meals for all public school students.
Georgia voters:
* elect Democrat Andre Dickens mayor of Atlanta GA
* elect Democrat Kelsea Bond to Atlanta City Council District 2
* elect Democrat Alicia Johnson for GA Public Service Commissioner
* elect Democrat Peter Hubbard for GA Public Service Commissioner
Maine voters rejected a Republican ballot measure that would have restricted ballot access by imposing voter ID and restricting mail-in voting.
Minnesota voters:
* elected Kaohly Her the first woman and first Hmong American mayor of St. Paul MN
Mississippi voters broke the Republican Party’s supermajority in the Mississippi Senate. Voters elected Democrats to two seats previously held by Republicans, reducing the number of Republican senators in the upper chamber from 36 to 34, one fewer than necessary to constitute a supermajority.
New Jersey voters:
* elect Democrat Mikie Sherril for governor
New York voters:
* elect Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani for mayor of New York City
* elect Democrat Alvin Bragg for Manhattan District Attorney
* elect Democrat Sharon Owens first black mayor of Syracuse NY
* elect a Democrat to the sole city council seat the GOP has in the Bronx. Republicans had flipped this council seat in 2023, and it was their first seat in the Bronx since the early 1980s.

Ohio voters:
* elect Democrat Aftab Pureval for mayor of Cincinnati
Pennsylvania voters elect:
* elect Democrat Danny Leo Ceisler for Buckingham County sheriff, beating Fred Harran
* elect Democrat Christina Vogel for Erie County Executive
* elect Democrat Tara Zrinski to Northhampton County Executive
* retain Democratic majority on supreme court
* oust all Republican members from school boards in Buckingham and Pennridge Counties
Virginia voters:
* elect Democrat Abigail Spanberger for governor, the first woman elected to that office
* elect Democrat Ghazala Hashmi for lieutenant governor, the first Muslim elected to statewide office
* elect Jay Jones for Attorney General
* Virginia Dems won most seats in Virginia House of Delegates since 1987
Washington state voters:
* elect Progressive Erika Evans to Seattle city attorney, beating Republican incumbent Ann Davison
