I turned in my retirement paperwork today. It’s a little scary that in the near future I won’t have a job, but it’s mostly a huge relief because, honestly, I’m sick and tired of working for a paycheck. I’m relieved to be done with it.

When I tell people I’m going to retire, they ask me what I’m going to do with myself every day, as if I can’t imagine getting up in the morning and facing the day without having almost my entire day already decided for me. I’m going to do whatever I want to do.
