First bike ride of the season! I’m very much a fair-weather bicycler, which is a highfalutin way of saying I don’t ride when temps fall low enough to make my fingers numb and my nose run like a fire hose. Today it was warm enough to tempt me into trying a ride around the neighborhood during my lunch hour. That was so much fun that I mounted up after work to ride a loop around Lake Monona, 13 miles in all. Very tiring, but the first ride of the season always is, and I know I’ll be able to do it in a week or two without too much effort. Very satisfying.
