I needed to get out of the house today, so I walked a 2.7 loop on the Ice Age Trail, just far enough to stretch my legs and get some fresh air. The trailhead is a twenty-five minute drive from Our Humble O’Bode, very easy to get to. There was just one other car in the parking lot when I arrived, so at first blush it appeared this was not as popular a segment as others but I met at least six other people while I hiked out to the turnaround point, so there is obviously another, possibly more popular trailhead. The trail was far enough into the countryside that I heard little to no traffic noise. I appreciated the peace and quiet.
