We went out for biscuits and gravy at Crema Cafe Sunday morning. When we got there, every table in the dining room was full, and we got into line with a dozen or so people.
“Should we stay or go?” I asked B.
“What do you think?” she asked right back at me.
“Jane’s,” I answered.
We dashed back out to the O-Mobile and drove a few more miles up the road to Lazy Jane’s, where biscuits and gravy is often one of their weekend specials. The line was out the door.
“How about Weary Traveler?”
We walked the block and a half to Weary Traveler. It didn’t open for another hour.
Back in the O-Mobile again, we stopped at Harmony Bar, where we’ve enjoyed a good brunch before. They didn’t open until eleven.
We ended up back at Crema Cafe, where the line by this time was gone and we easily got a table by the door. “If we’d just been a little more patient,” My Darling B pointed out, “we could’ve been done eating by now.”
