Here’s a little FYI for you: If you keep your can of mineral spirits right next to your can of denatured alcohol, be careful not to confuse the one with the other, because mineral spirits makes a terrible martini. Just kidding. You shouldn’t mix mineral spirits with vermouth, you should only serve it neat on the rocks, with maybe a little slice of lime on the rim. Okay, just kidding again. Mineral spirits makes a terrible cocktail. But denatured alcohol, yum!
Wait, don’t go. I was going to tell you, mineral spirits will get the Minwax stain sealer out of your paint brush, but if you use denatured alcohol by mistake, the results aren’t pretty. Well, actually, they are sort of pretty. In the end what you get is a brush that looks just like a brush, but the only thing it’s good for is an art project where you need something that looks like a brush but can’t be used as a brush ever again. Or, you could use it as a scraper to get ice off the windshield of your car. Okay, that’s two things.
