I went to Menard’s this afternoon looking for a decorative shelf and found that the store was in the advanced throes of a major remodeling. They’d knocked a huge hole in the front of the store and extended it at least fifty feet into the parking lot. This, after they pushed the south end of the store all the way up against Broadway and increased the size of the lumber yard until it was at least as big as Canada.
Oh, thank you, Menard’s! Thank you for making your east-side store bigger. Until you expanded the lumber yard, added a garden center, and pushed the front of the building out like a snout house, I could walk from one end of the building to the other without needing GPS to find a bench so I could take a lunch break before pressing on. A huger store will be much better, and I can’t wait until you “reorganize” every section so I have to learn where everything is all over again.
