Our favorite Madison pizzeria, The Roman Candle, supports union workers with a 10% discount! And they personalize your pizza box!

My Darling B is finally feeling well enough to go out in public again, so we celebrated by stopping by the Roman Candle for a big pizza pie. Demonstrators heading home from cap square with their signs walked past the windows of the restaurant all evening. Our waiter saw us posing for photos outside by their sign thanking union workers and asked us if we had our union cards. Unfortunately we did not, but he gave us the 10% discount anyway, which we cheerfully gave back to him as a tip, plus a twenty for the next pro-union demonstrator who phoned in an order for pizza.
