What a great day! Wake up, check the clock to see how much time I’ve got left before the alarm starts bleeping, realize the alarm isn’t going to do any bleeping today, shove the cat off the part of the bed that used to be mine, curl up in the warm spot and close my eyes with a satisfied smile on my face.
Sleep, unfortunately, did not follow. Waking up at a certain hour has sort of worn a groove in my daily routine. I stayed curled up in the warm spot for about a half-hour, loving every minute of it, before I threw back the covers, tucked my feet into my slippers and padded out of the bedroom to get the day started with a big, hot pot o’ java.
With a piping hot cuppa in one hand I descended to my basement lair and began to drivel. And I driveled and I driveled. For three hours I driveled, but my output ended up looking about the same as anything I would normally pound out in about fifteen minutes. True, I did spend a lot of time doinking around with the style sheet, probably way too much time, but for me that’s part of driveling.
When I went up for my third cup of coffee I discovered My Darling B and The Seanster had finally arisen from their beds and were doinking around on their laptops. It’s a nerd family!
