To answer the sign-holder in the back: Well of course you don’t have to pay your taxes if that’s how you want to protest a policy. That’s what democracy’s about. It gets you thrown in jail, but that’s sort of the point of bucking authority.

Not paying your taxes won’t keep congress from enacting programs like health care reform, though. You’re imagining that they’re going to tax you to pay for it, when in fact what they will do is make up money out of thin air to pay for it.
